After a successful year of flight testing with the demonstrator, Elixir Aircraft and Turbotech are taking the next step by signing a MoU to launch the industrial development of the Elixir Turbine. Combining the simplicity of single-lever turbine operation, a multi-fuel engine compatible with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), extended time between overhauls (TBO), and exceptionally low operating costs, the program paves the way for a new generation of aircraft designed for flight training organizations, with entry into service targeted by 2030.
Following the first engine start in February 2025 and its maiden flight in June of the same year, the Elixir Turbine demonstrator successfully completed its initial flight test campaign.
Building on these results, Elixir Aircraft and Turbotech today announce the signing of a MoU, marking the launch of the Elixir Turbine industrial program.
The agreement covers aircraft integration and development activities, as well as the launch of the EASA and FAA certification programs, with entry into service targeted by 2030.
Powered by Turbotech’s TP-R90 turbine engine—already entering industrial-scale production and commercially available in both Europe and the United States—the Elixir Turbine benefits from a mature, multi-fuel propulsion system with an exceptionally long Time Between Overhauls (TBO).
Combined with Elixir Aircraft’s Carbon OneShot airframe, this powerplant paves the way for an aircraft delivering enhanced performance, simplified operation through a single-lever power control inspired by commercial aircraft, exceptionally low operating costs, and a reduced environmental footprint thanks to compatibility with all aviation fuels, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
Complementing the new Elixir product lineup unveiled yesterday at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the Elixir Turbine is designed to meet the evolving needs of flight training organizations by delivering outstanding fleet availability.

In July 2026, the company secured a €45 million funding round to launch the Equinox program, paving the way for a new aircraft.
