The best of general aviation
The 4th generation part-23
Elixir Aircraft, a company based in La Rochelle, was created in 2015 to meet the challenges of French light aviation. The French SME's objective: to produce safer, more economical, more environmentally-friendly and more versatile aircraft. Today, complexity is the reason why older-generation aircraft suffer from failures (technical or human) and are expensive to operate (fuel consumption and maintenance). Elixir Aircraft uses Carbon Oneshot, a technology derived from competition sailing, to simplify structures. More simplicity means fewer failures, so greater safety, but also less maintenance, and lower costs (estimates of €50/h fuel and maintenance) …
At the end of 2021, Elixir Aircraft opened a new production site to internalize all carbon parts production.

THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF SAFETY IN GENERAL AVIATION
Safety in all condition
The Elixir Aircraft represents a pioneering era in aviation safety, leveraging cutting-edge technology and detailed engineering to establish a new benchmark for secure and reliable flight training and air travel. With state-of-the-art avionics ensuring precise navigation and collision avoidance, a robust airframe crafted from advanced composite materials, and comprehensive safety redundancies, the Elixir stands as a paragon of resilience and fail-safe design.
Certification
The Elixir is now EASA CS-23 certified, CAA certified and FAA FAR Part-23 certified.
These certification guarantees compliance with the highest safety standards in areas: flight behaviour, structure, power plant, avionics and electrical each stage of an aircraft's life, from it's design to its certification and followed by its airworthiness.
Crash-worthy fuel tank
Its explosion-proof design (pocket and foam) increases safety in the eventuality of a forced landing, with or without a parachute. The Elixir’s fuel tank is designed to reduce tossing. In addition to the foam, it is equipped with anti-return valves, ensuring an homogeneous distribution of fuel and a stable supply in all phases of flight. The Elixir is equipped with a single 94L tank. Forget the selector switch and the need to switch from one tank to the other during flight.
4th generation airframe
The OneShot is a technology that has been used for more than 15 years in competitive sailing. This technique consists of designing and manufacturing complex elements (such as a wing) without structural assemblies. OneShot gives the Elixir unique qualities, both in terms of safety and operating costs.
Fewer assemblies = fewer failures, resulting in less maintenance and lower costs.
Unintentional Spin Resistant
The Elixir's wing has a progressive profile, the thirds of the wing (from the root) are designed for cruising performance, the last third (up to the wingtip) is particularly effective at low speed. This allows you to permanently keep control of the ailerons.
The wing fences accentuate this phenomenon by limiting the propagation of turbulent airflow to the ailerons.
Airframe parachute
Because everyone deserves a second chance.
The BRS parachute is included as standard in the Elixir. It is an additional safety, added independently of the certification requirements.
Double-slotted electric flaps
The flap system is simple and reliable, its motor is electric in order to control the speed of the flaps and to avoid anu sudden or involuntary retraction of the flap.
Landing gear
A heavy-duty landing gear
Hard landing? No problem, the oleopneumatic landing gear equiped with Beringer wheels and brakes offers you a high level of safety and comfort with each landing.

OneShot carbon airframe
OneShot reduces the number of parts, and therefore maintenance costs because fewer parts means lower maintenance. Moreover, with the OneShot carbon airframe, there is no maintenance against decaying or corrosion.
Fewer parts, lower maintenance costs. No maintenance for decay or corrosion.
Reduced fuel consumption
The modern engine powering the Elixir reduces fuel costs, thanks to reduced consumption and the use of cheaper auto fuel (E5).

Lowered environmental footprint
With lower CO2 emissions and less noise thanks to its propeller (…), the Elixir has been designed to meet the new environmental challenges.
Modern engine
Elixir Aircraft offers a certified aircraft with nearly 70% less CO2 emissions (compared to the consumption of single-engine piston engines worldwide). With its Rotax 912iS (100HP), the Elixir uses unleaded gasoline that is less harmful to the environment and consumes only between 10 and 15L/h (2.63 – 3.95 US gal/h).
4th generation airframe
The Elixir has a Reduced weight due to carbon fiber and simplified design, so less power is required. Less power required means less consumption, so less pollution.
Drag reduction
The drag reduction of the Elixir is made with a more aerodynamic surface designed on CATIA and made possible thanks to OneShot carbon.
